Smalls Auctions has established itself as the home of diminutive treasures. “Smalls” is the generic term used in the antiques trade for items such as Jewellery, Watches, Objets d’Art and other Collectables that can be worn, or proudly displayed on a shelf or in a cabinet, drawer or album. Smalls Auctions is a specialist boutique auction house on Oxford Street in Sydney’s historic Paddington, the traditional home of Antiques. We run online timed sales of approximately 300 lots, beginning every Friday and running through to Sunday week, giving bidders nine full days to research and decide on the items they wish to bid on.

Every lot is described by our own staff, who between them have more than seventy-five years of industry experience. We are recognised industry leaders in Coins, Banknotes and Australiana, and every Jewellery lot is appraised by a gemmologist on staff. The people describing the lots are the people who know them.
Our Auction Gallery is at 452 Oxford Street, Paddington, alongside Café Lautrec. Entry to the Gallery is through the café, where you can view items in our upcoming sales, or be captivated by our extensive cabinet displays of historical items such as Aboriginal Breastplates, shipwreck coins and items from antiquity. Auction viewing is Monday to Friday, 9am to 3pm. No appointment needed.
Local collectors are joined by registered bidders from across the world, including the United Kingdom, Europe, the U.S., Canada and Southeast Asia. Bidding is via our online platform bid.smallsauctions.com, or the free apps for iOS and Android.
We offer free valuations on Jewellery, Coins, Banknotes, Watches and most other small collectables, and where appropriate items can be consigned to our weekly sales. Written valuations for insurance and probate can be prepared at a fixed fee agreed in advance.
